This is a fixed term post for 6 months (3rd April 2026 – 31st October 2026)
The Council has 15 vacant positions for the role of waste labourer to support our existing staff in the collection of waste and recycling materials. Positions are full time, 37 hours per week Mon - Fri and all contracts are subject to the candidates completing a full induction course including health and safety in refuse collection. You will be physically fit and capable of walking up to 70 miles per week emptying wheelie bins in all types of weather conditions. You will be self-motivated, capable of understanding verbal and written instructions and a great team player. Full training will be provided.
