JOB DESCRIPTION

SOCIAL WORKER

Salary:

£32,306 - £39,027 (Band 6 Social Worker scale)

Hours:

36 hrs per week

Contract:

One Year Contract with immediate effect, and with a view to a possible extension based on the needs of the College.

Responsible to:

The Principal through the Vice-Principals & Designated Teacher for Safeguarding and Child Protection.

Essential Criteria:

• Hold a recognised professional Social Work qualification
• Registered with NISCC
• Current full driving licence with access to a car on appointment
• Have 3 years post qualifying experience
• Experience of multidisciplinary working with children and families
• Are committed to regular supervision and complete Professionals in Practice (PIP) requirements in line with NISCC registration
• Can demonstrate an understanding of the specific challenges of Children who are looked after in a school setting
• Can demonstrate and understanding of the specific challenges of vulnerable children in a school setting

Desirable Criteria:

• Have experience working with a range of stakeholders, including community and voluntary organisations
• Can demonstrate high impact could be measured in the role
