Full Time Contract
Novax Recruitment is actively seeking a Revenues Officer based in Hackney. This is a 6 month contract working full time hours. This client can offer hybrid working.
Responsibilities include:
- To maximise revenue through the assertive collection of NNDR
- Negotiate payment arrangements; make decisions on the most appropriate course of action with regard to the remedies available for the recovery of NNDR from billing to post liability
- Maintain the NNDR property database accurately with respect to all amendments, updating customer and property records accurately and regularly
- Take appropriate action to recover NNDR from customers in arrears in accordance with the legislation and the recovery policy.
- Set and monitor payment arrangements and instigate and control trace enquiries.
- To deal with NNDR enquiries by telephone, written correspondence, or face-to-face, providing advice and explanations on all aspects NNDR administration
Skills and Experience required:
- At least 3 years experience as a Revenues Officer in both Council Tax and NDR
- Public Sector or local government experience
- Extensive knowledge of NNDR including relevant legislation and regulations as well as the experience of handling complex information.
- Good level or communication skills and IT skills
