Principal Communications Officer (Job Share)

An opportunity has arisen for a Part Time Principal Communications Officer to join our Communications Section.

Responsible for the development and implementation of the Council’s Communications Strategy and a range of strategic communications activities that deliver positive, measurable outcomes for the Council and its communities, you will raise awareness of Council services and the issues facing Ribble Valley residents.

With a nationally-recognised qualification in communications, public relations, or journalism, and preferably membership of a professional organisation, you will have a track record in communications and public relations practice as a strategic function.

A skilled media-handler, with a track record in driving substantial media coverage, you will have proven experience of producing fast, accurate copy in a range of styles and creating or commissioning impactful multi-media and multi-channel content.
