The Marketing Officer role will encourage new wildlife supporters both online and offline, with the aim to inspire a love of wildlife and nature across Essex. In this role the post holder will create engaging content for a wide range of platforms, promoting the many ways the public can engage with Essex Wildlife Trust, including our nature discovery centres and places of wonder, to increase awareness of our work and wildlife supporters.

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the successful applicant will be working with our talented and passionate communications team to develop and improve methods to increase the recruitment of wildlife supporters, members, event attendees, campaign participants and followers from our digital and online presence.

It is essential that applicants hold at least a Level 3 qualification in Digital Marketing (or equivalent), have experience with content creation programmes and marketing platforms and creative writing for digital advertisement. The successful applicant must be confident in delivering creative communications across a wide range of channels, especially digitally and on social platforms, who is passionate and motivated to work for a wildlife conservation charity.

This role is a permanent full-time position working 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm) with a starting salary of Β£24,856.00 per annum. Essex Wildlife Trust is currently trialling hybrid-working arrangements with a view to implementing a workplace policy in 2026. Further details of the hybrid-working arrangements will be shared at interview.
