Job Description

Mazer Zone is a newly established escape room business in London, Camden, with one of the most technologically advanced escape rooms in the UK. We are in the hunt for a talented and enthusiastic Game Master who is excited about escape rooms.

So, what does being a 'Game Master' involve?

Hosting:

  • Warmly welcoming customers into our reception area.
  • Delivering health and safety and pre-game brief to the customers.
  • Setting the scene with a cheeky little backstory.
  • Encouraging immersive engagement from the customers.
  • Post-game: debriefing the customers, making sure they had a great time and taking a team-photo.

Room Monitoring/Resetting:

  • Monitoring teams and providing clues as and when they are needed.
  • Good communication with other games masters during the game.
  • Fast and accurate resetting of the escape rooms.

Monitoring the rooms through our CCTV sounds weird but effectively just involves being an extra team-mate for each team as they play the game - offering help/clues when needed (it's usually either hilarious or frustrating depending on the team you are monitoring!)

Experience is not necessary as full training will be provided. But ideal requirements involve:

  • Flexibility in hours and being able to work weekday mornings, evenings and weekends.
  • Reliable, enthusiastic and willing to get stuck in.

The perfect candidate should be:

  • With an energetic and outgoing personality, who enjoys engaging with people!
  • With excellent customer service skills.
  • Who pays strong attention to detail.
  • With logical and creative thinking.
  • Who's a problem solver.
  • Who’s comfortable speaking in front of large groups of people.
  • Fluent in English - spoken and written.
  • With excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently.
  • With computer skills – needs to be comfortable using Excel, the booking system, email and social media.

What you’ll get:

  • A fun working environment and colleagues.
  • Team building events with your awesome teammates.

If this sounds like your cup of tea, please send us your cover letter and CV
