Maybe the thought of working in a library hasn’t occurred to you before, but if you are an outgoing team player who loves working with people, providing a friendly welcome and excellent customer service, then our Customer Service Team at The University of Manchester Library could be the opportunity for you! We work in a proactive, fast paced Customer Service environment, providing a front line service across several different sites, together with online customer interactions.

We are looking for someone to coordinate our Customer Services Team, to ensure that front line service operations are customer focused at all times, holistic in nature and flexible enough to adapt to changing needs, to provide a world leading customer service.

The Customer Services Coordinator role is 35 hours a week, working a shift pattern which includes weekends.

If you require further information we are holding on campus and online Open Day sessions so you can come and find out more about the role, meet the Customer Services Team and ask any questions.

On Wednesday 8th March 2026 we are holding an on campus Open Day session from 10am to 4pm in the University of Manchester Main Library. There is no need to book just come along. You do not need to attend the whole session.

Don’t worry if you are not able to come along, we are also holding two online introductory sessions on Friday 10th 3rd March 11am-12pm and 2pm-3pm. You do not need to attend both sessions.
