Your role in ensuring general maintenance is carried out, resources are ordered and checked and that safety legislation is adhered to is paramount to the efficient and effective running of our department. You will have a genuine interest in working with children and have the skills motivate and engage students. This role would suit someone who aspires to teach and would like to gain some experience in a school setting.

Brayton Academy was awarded β€˜Outstanding in all areas’ at the Ofsted inspection in June 2026 and highlighted the pupils’ exemplary behaviour and excellent attitudes to learning, the outstanding Leadership Team and the substantial progress made by pupils in lesson thanks to skilful teaching. This is an excellent time to join this thriving academy.

Brayton Academy is part of The Rodillian Multi Academy Trust which has a reputation for high expectations for all, an innovative curriculum and excellent staff/student relationships. It is regarded as one of the most successful Trusts in the country and is recognised as an organisation that does things differently. The Rodillian Multi Academy offers graduates the opportunity to train to teach through the School Direct initiative across a variety of secondary schools in Leeds, Wakefield, and Selby. We believe in growing our own talented teaching leaders of the future. Working in partnership with Leeds Trinity University and Leeds Beckett University we have developed an exciting one-year programme which gives our trainees the opportunity to experience schools in a range of contexts, gaining a PGCE at the end of the year.

Our academies are a place where staff can develop their skills and find their own style and methods of teaching. Colleagues learn and grow alongside our students and feel that they are making a real difference to the lives of those they teach. We believe that traditional values of discipline and respect are sacrosanct. We do not tolerate bullying, defiance, or rudeness, and this has made for a harmonious and safe learning environment for our young people and a supportive environment for staff.

Prospective candidates are welcome to visit the academy by contacting Sophie Addison, PA to the Principal

The Rodillian Multi Academy Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and we expect all staff, volunteers, visitors, and contractors to share this commitment.
