The SCG-Oxford Centre of Excellence in Chemistry (CoE) has an opportunity for an experienced Administrator / Executive Assistant to join the team. The post holder will play a crucial role managing the administrative support for the Director of the CoE and the large Oโ€™Hare research group, being part of a team enabling them to operate effectively and includes responsibility for a range of processes to ensure requirements of the projectโ€™s sponsors are met.

You will act as the primary administrative liaison point between the sponsors and internal and external partners and will undertake and co-ordinate support with finance, personnel, facilities and other administrative staff within the Chemistry Department. You will also liaise with other University departments regarding administration from Research Services and Research Accounts to MPLS. It will involve co-ordinating committee work and managing workflows of CoE business in order to ensure projects and objectives are achieved on budget and on time. You will need to organise meetings, workshops as well as making complex travel arrangements for staff visits and external partners visitors programmes, visas and hospitality requirements.
The post is based within the Department of Chemistry, University of Oxford and has strong links with the Maths, Physical & Life Sciences Division and is available immediately.
The post is fixed-term (up to 24 months), part-time appointment for 0.6 - 0.8 FTE. Both the hours and working pattern are flexible to be agreed with the successful candidate.
